Program Manager Navy Programs
BAE Systems Panama City has an immediate opening Program Manager. The person in this position will have overall cognizance and responsibility for customer satisfaction, program execution, growth, and management of our Modeling Simulation, Evaluation, and Testing (MSEAT) contract as well as our entire Panama City Beach program portfolio. The expected start date for employment is the earliest that can be mutually agreed to. Candidates who are available begin employment in the near term are strongly encouraged to apply. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is required the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all programs meet contractual obligations, customer support requirements, and ensure these programs / projects are executed in accordance with BAE Systems business practices and internal policies and procedures. The selected candidate will conduct regular reviews of program performance and evaluate the current and projected status against the approved plan. The selected candidate will work with BAE Systems executives of interest, business development, and proposal development teams to market BAE Systems capabilities, and identify and shape future business opportunities, as well as support capture and proposal development activities. The selected candidate may also interface with senior government officials. The selected candidate will report to the Senior Program Manager for Weapons System Sustainment located in Middletown, RI.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of CPFF, FFP, and various other contract types. The candidate would preferably have experience managing subcontractors; concurrently run technical instructions, and oversight of a minimum of 10 direct reporting personnel. The ideal candidate would also have had P&L responsibility of at least $3M in a contract year. Additionally, this candidate will have experience in facility management to include fully oversight of office functions, security, and maintenance.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other closely related field
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 7-10 years of related Program Manager/ Project Manager experience with Navy programs.
- Significant experience managing Department of Defense technical projects/ Instructions.
- Experience with Lifecycle Management and Mission Success Events
- Experience with business development and proposal efforts
- Proven track record for developing, obtaining, and implementing new work
- 5 or more years of supervisory experience in a similar environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Skills and Education
- Master’s Degree in engineering, business or related field
- Experience working with NSWCPCD government customers
- Significant experience in NSWC Panama City programs
