BAE Systems is seeking a senior Program Manager (Program Manager II) to join our team supporting a strategic effort with the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) located in the National Capital Region (NCR). The successful candidate will serve as the overall contractor lead responsible for the performance of the work supporting the HPCMP cost plus incentive fee contract valued at $720M and provide management of support of five federated regional HPC centers, each with different mission owners (US Army, US Air Force, US Navy). This role has full authority to act on behalf of BAE Systems for all matters pertaining to the contract and represents the company in joint meetings with the customer on full range of HPC topics.
This position manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and executes a collection of projects supporting HPCMP and the Service Research Laboratories. Ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives; participates in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company; demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security; and provides direct people-management as required.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, computer science, computer engineering and/or information systems or other related discipline
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years management experience with a minimum of ten (10) years IT organizational support management experience
- Experience must include HPC experience and program size and scope of at least $125M contract value/$25M/year and 150 employees and multiple locations; experience can be Federal or private industry
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or achieved within 6 months
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience supporting different Services (Army, Air Force, Navy, or DoD)
- ITIL Foundation v3 or v4, or obtain within 6 months of start date
