Program Manager II

Job Description
BAE Systems Survivability, Targeting & Sensing Solutions (STS) Business Area is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Program Manager to join our Soldier and Vehicle Electronics Product Line in Austin Texas. This position will lead the development, delivery, and support of man portable electronic systems.

Primary duties include:

Manages and executes on various projects including engineering development and production to ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives.

Provides program leadership in proposal, development, and capture strategies. Demonstrates the ability to navigate within different cultural frameworks, and interfaces with suppliers, customers, and senior leadership on program elements.

Coordinate and manage the assigned project(s) to comply with cost, schedule, and technical requirements and established company practices in order to meet project commitments.

Actively promotes a culture of diversity, safety, health, and personal well being for self, employees and the program team. Maintains a safe work envirionment and ensures compliance with safety and environmental objectives

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
Strong interpersonal skills to lead cross functional teams towards common goals in a multi-site, matrix organization.
Ability to develop creative solutions to highly complex problems involving internal and external stakeholders
Experience with DoD contracts and project management
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
Eligible for Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills and Education
Program Management Professional (PMP) Certificate
Experience with Electro-optical product development
