Job Description

BAE Systems Survivability, Targeting & Sensing Solutions (STS) Business Area is seeking a Program Manager reporting into the Night Vision and Targeting Product Area and the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line. This position will support several Man Portable imaging programs that are transitioning from qualification into low rate initial production and full rate production. This position will focus on management of several key suppliers as well as execution of a large capital program to achieve successful ramp to full rate production. Duties will include:

  • Coordinate and manage the assigned project(s) to comply with cost, schedule and technical requirements and established company practices in order to meet project commitments
  • Interface with engineering, operations, finance, contracts and the customer
  • Manage risks and opportunities
  • Review and monitor metrics on the projects and provide support as required to the program leadership
  • Lead/coordinate input for proposals and participate in subsequent contract negotiations
  • Support bid preparation
  • Support Phase Reviews and Lifecycle Management
Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
  • Team Leadership Experience
  • Experience interfacing and briefing customer and management
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Experience with customer/stakeholder communication, management, relationship building, and customer satisfaction
  • Understanding/training relative to Program Management, Life-Cycle Management and Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build and lead teams
Preferred Skills and Education

• Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project
