Program Manager 2 - EPAWSS Production

Job Description
BAE Systems Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Program Manager to join our Tactical Aircraft EW Solutions Product Line in Nashua, NH. This position will lead production efforts for the delivery and support of electronic warfare systems for the F-15 platform.

Primary responsibilities:

Manages various projects including engineering development and transition-to-production projects to ensure achievement of financial, schedule and technical performance objectives. Supports program efforts with monthly reporting of schedule and financial status, generation of program SDRLs and program metrics, generation of risk mitigation and opportunity realization plans and management of subcontractor development efforts as required.

Manages day-to-day operations of factory builds, including complex microwave assemblies and high-speed digital assemblies.

Coordinates Operations and Engineering activities for ongoing production programs.

Leads Subcontractor activity for all production orders through collaboration with Operations Subcontracts Lead.

Drives rapid closure to Engineering Change Orders.

Creates and manages to key metrics, including schedule planning, kit releases, build throughput, issue resolution, defect reduction, etc.

Leads factory continuous improvement initiatives.

Drives factory affordability initiatives in order to meet Unit Production Cost Targets.

Support to Low Rate Initial Production planning and material acquisition.

Interfaces with suppliers, customers, and senior leadership on program elements.

Actively promotes a culture of diversity, safety, health, and personal well-being for self, employees and the program team. Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety and environmental objectives.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
Experience with all aspects of planning and execution for complex hardware builds with aggressive production schedules - schedule development, production planning, material procurement, material kitting/release, build, test, selloff and repairs.

Experience managing subcontractor production efforts.

Strong interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams towards common goals in a matrix organization.

Experience with DoD contracts, project management, metrics development and risk/opportunity management.

Proficient with internal factory production management tools - Oracle, Solumina, Microsoft Office, etc.

DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills and Education
Experience with complex microwave hardware build and test.

Experience leading subcontractor development efforts.

Experience leading weekly Program Management Meetings.

Experience with the Phase Review process and deliverables.
