Product Stream Lead
2nd shift Production Supervisor for multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) within the Advanced Composite Manufacturing (ACM) facility. This position assists in establishing indirect expense budgets and implements project plans and schedules, ensures product costs are understood across the value stream and are achieved, and implements process improvements through the development and execution of a comprehensive improvement plan. Leads Kaizen events and teams in an effort to make the company more competitive and more profitable. Responsible for all cost, schedule, and quality issues related to the complete value stream, inclusive of material, ensuring delivered products meet specified standards.
This role will also offer leadership visibility, where the VSS is held directly responsible for the day-to-day running of the production floor. The VSS role acts as the gatekeeper in terms of interfacing with New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management and the Manufacturing/Technical Operations Organizations in an effort to drive current workload and future state strategy/improvements.
The VSS will also be required to develop and implement ES sector, Functional and Manufacturing Training Plans (Sector/FTP and the Manufacturing Skills Matrix). This includes the coordination of training ensuring that manufacturing personnel are in compliance with all prescribed training requirements as they apply to the particular job function.

- Coordinates solder qualifications and certifications
This role also acts as the compliance officer in order to implement and drive compliance initiatives across the factory. This would include routine compliance audits for training, audit readiness and sustainment, FOD, ESD, process adherence, and other disciplines deemed necessary by the Factory Management team. This role may also be called on support corrective action reviews and participates in identifying root causes and corrective actions within the value stream.
In addition to the activities listed above, the VSS may be required to perform various secondary supply chain actions. A working knowledge of various supply chain strategies including but not limited to MRP Execution, Min/Max Inventory Management, Backflushing, Point of Use and Kanban material management systems is a plus.
Supports the manufacturing process by performing kit configuration, material support, and documentation maintenance activities within production and engineering lab environments to assure that required supplies support manufacturing schedules and Operations’ commitments on engineering and production programs.
My be required to assist in the development and implementation in both short and long-term supply chain strategies that address capacity issues, staffing issues and capability assessment in support of business growth.
Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
Utilizes mainframe applications such as Solumina, Oracle, DSS, PDM, Dataview and TIPQA to perform daily tasks
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education
(1) Candidate must be driven. This is a self-directed rotation where the candidate will be leading an execution team, developing future state strategy, collaborating across multiple operations disciplines and most importantly building the relationship with and delivering on commitments to the engineering/program community.
(2) Candidate must be adaptable. The candidate must adapt to the varying needs and stages of programs in their development lifecycle. The VSS is a key individual working with the engineering/program communities as well as with the Operations organization to define the requirements and change/grow the Value Stream process as needed.
(3) Candidate must have ownership and accountability. This rotation is similar to being an owner of a new startup company. The candidate will be responsible for pulling in and executing on new business where sometimes the main customers are the engineering/program communities.
Preferred Skills and Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, similar technical degree or equivalent experience.
