This position is part of the Procurement Compliance Team for the Electronic systems Sector (ES). The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the updates to Procurement procedures and providing guidance in understanding/adherence to these procedures. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with training of procurement personnel in applying our ES Procurement Procedures (ESPP's), conducting audits of purchase order and subcontract files on a monthly basis and supporting Government or Customer documentation/ audit requests. Candidate will be expected to revise Procurement Procedures to keep up with regulations or policy changes to the buying community. The candidate should be able to draft written and verbal communications for the purpose of training and supporting procurement professionals by contributing to the monthly news letter, lunch and learn presentations, and involvement in the annual training at each ES site. A successful candidate for this position has the ability to work cross functionally and be flexible in working through specific procurement situations to find the best solution that meets our customer needs while maintaining full compliance to our ESPP's and FAR regulations. A Candidate should be comfortable working on there own and working with a remote team. Previous Procurement or Subcontracts experience a plus
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience with the Federal Acquisiiton Regulations (FAR)
- Previous Procurement and/or Subcontracts experience
- Solid computer skills (Excel, Word, MRP, Power Point, etc)
- Experience communicating at all levels of employees and customers
- Experience with writing policies and procedures
- Experience with oracle or similar MRP Systems.
- General knowledge of Government Contracting a plus.
