Procurement Compliance

This position is part of the Procurement Compliance Group for the Electronic Systems Sector (ES). The Candidate would be responsible for updating ES Procurement Procedures, and providing guidance in understanding / adherence to these procedures. The Candidate will be responsible for training / mentoring procurement personnel in our ES Procurement Procedures (ESPP’s), conducting audits of procurements and subcontracts on a monthly basis and supporting audits performed by Government/Customer personnel as well as internal BAE Systems requests. Candidates will be expected to develop enhancements to Procurement Procedures based upon regulation or policy changes and be able to communicate those changes to the procurement community. The Candidate should be able to draft written and verbal communications for the purpose of training and mentoring procurement professionals by contribution to monthly news letters, conducting lunch and learn presentations, and involvement in annual compliance trainings conducted at each ES site. A successful candidate for this position, has the ability to work cross functionally and be flexible in working through specific procurement situations to find the best solution that meets our customer needs while maintaining full compliance to our ESPP’s and FAR regulations. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is desired along with direct experience in Procurement or Subcontracts. The Candidate should have proficient writing and communication skills as the role requires both written direction and the ability to communicate and train procurement personnel in our ES Procurement Procedures. Solid computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point are required in this role as well as an ability to present in a group environment.

An ability to communicate with all levels of employees as well as the Government and Customers. Preferred Skills and Education Prior Oracle experience is preferred. Previous experience working to support Government or Procurement Audits is desired. General knowledge of Government Contracting a plus.
