Procurement Analyst II
BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Procurement Analyst II at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, VA.
Our ideal candidates will possess the following characteristics:
o Ability to work and succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating superior presentation, communication, team building and leadership skills that will be required in order to have regular communication with the leadership team.
o Ability to learn, understand and apply Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal policies and procedures and apply these guidelines to the solicitation, issuance and close-out of high volume, low cost purchase orders.
o Apply sound procurement principles.
o Review requirements document (i.e., statement of work, drawings and specifications) for clarity and adequacy, and obtain necessary revisions from the program office/engineering team.
o Identify potential resources for required materials, equipment, supplies and services, and develop and issue request for quotes.
o Respond to supplier inquiries and coordinates source selection decisions with other company activities.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Minimum 2 years purchasing experience; ideally in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
Bachelor's degree or six additional years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
Must have ethical behavior and superior communication and computer skills.
Able to perform research independently.
Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point.
