Process Improvement Analyst
Develop and execute Lean Sigma Enterprise Transformation plans, metrics, activities, and training in partnership with stakeholders across all business functions. Provide consulting, leadership, and support to Lean Sigma Enterprise Transformation activities across BAE Systems worldwide.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with process owners to develop detailed site Lean Sigma Enterprise Transformation plans for improvement projects that align with the overall Lean Sigma Enterprise Transformation strategic vision.
Partner with process owners for each LeanSigma project launched to communicate the Lean Sigma Enterprise Transformation vision, goals, and objectives.
Change the culture by institutionalizing Lean & Six Sigma philosophies, tools and behaviors through seamless integration at each assigned site.
Monitor implementation of Lean Sigma improvement projects to ensure gains are sustained. Develop implementation metrics to clearly show progress to established goals.
Act as a Champion for all assigned sites by sharing best practices, actively participating in the Lean Sigma Community of Practice and the ultimate development of a standard application of Lean Sigma akin to Toyota Production System.
Develop Lean Sigma training plan for each site that aligns with the overall training strategy. Develop and deliver the Lean Sigma training materials per the plan.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or other relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 8 years relevant experience; or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and 6 years experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and 2 years relevant experience.
Experience leading Lean Sigma business process improvement events.
Excellent command of the Lean Sigma tools and appropriate application of them.
Excellent knowledge of relevant profession principles and practices.
Good planning, time management and organization skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead a team.
Ability to make presentations to cross departmental staff/teams.
Ability to train less experienced staff.
Will be subject to government security investigation; must meet eligibility requirements of a DOD Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills and Education Prefer Lean Sigma and/or Master Black belt certification from a widely recognized source.
