Printed Wiring Design Drafter
BAE Systems is looking for an entry level printed circuit board designer to join the design team of high-reliability embedded aerospace and ground based vehicle systems control systems. The Printed Circuit Board designer will participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical manufacturing and process engineers to design printed circuit boards in accordance with BAE Systems standards and procedures.
The candidate will also create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts list, incorporate changes to existing design documentation and create and maintain component library.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills both written and oral. Candidates should demonstrate sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
Required Skills and Education Requires an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
Capacity and motivation for hard work.
Preferred Skills and Education
Knowledgeable in Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise CAD software experience.
Organized, flexible and able to multitask in a dynamic team environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledgeable in designing printed circuit boards and developing electrical component symbols and geometries.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with design and manufacturing engineers.
Experience with Printed Board Fabrication houses.
Familiarity with PWB manufacturing guidelines.
