Principal Systems Engineer

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for RF System Engineers with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Software Engineering backgrounds. Applicants must have a current security clearance. We are looking for motivated, positive minded, and challenge seeking engineers for cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams. BAE Systems is focused on enhancing operational EW capabilities for a wide variety of engineering tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
This position will involve integrating, and testing RF systems and performing systems engineering functions such as supporting the creation of systems level requirements, supporting operational systems concepts, supporting system architecture trade studies, or supporting systems level integration and test for highly complex systems.

Responsibilities may include:
1. Performing one of more of the following systems engineering functions:
a. Analyzes and develops RF EW solutions to current and emerging threats to airborne platforms
b. Review, develops and documents system level operational concepts and mission statements
c. Review and evaluates system designs
d. Review and analyzes algorithms.
e. Review test procedures and other reports.
f. Supports system level integration and test of RF EW systems.
g. Verifies and validates system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
2. Supporting proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating and presentation activities.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
