Principal Security Engineer (Linux)
BAE is searching for a Linux Security Engineer to assist with the design, implementation and support of our Security infrastructure. Identify and mitigate security risks to Linux based systems. Responsible for the architecture and engineering of enterprise security tools (COTS and open source). Possess the ability to learn new technologies to adapt to the threat landscape.
Engineering duties and responsibilities:
Architecture and design of news tools as well as upgrading existing infrastructure.
Provide security application support, including the development of automated scripts.
Research, prototype and implement new security related technologies.
Working hand-in-hand with our 24/7 GSOC to support their needs.
Provide mentoring and training to other team members on enterprise tools.
Typical Education & Experience
Required Skills and Education
Strong UNIX / Linux experience required
Security and Network skills
Scripting skills (bash, python or perl)
Preferred Skills and Education
SIEM tool skills
Security+, GSEC, CEH, CISM, CISSP
