Who You Are:

We are looking for an experienced Principal Research Engineer to work and lead all phases – design, development, and experimental analysis – of cutting edge cyber R&D efforts. Primary emphasis on the prototyping and experimental analysis of components and end-to-end systems for Cyber Security and Cyber Warfare at the embedded system, host, network, and enterprise levels. Additionally you will:

  • Participate in the design, development, execution and implementation of algorithms and advanced scientific solutions to complex technical problems
  • Plan and execute research of complex scope regularly involving multiple disciplines
  • Co-author / author external publications (conference papers / presentations, journal articles, books)
  • Provide project management reporting and documentation
  • Provide updates to internal project management
  • Perform as a technical leader or project manager on small project initiatives (1-5)
  • Participate in external project interactions with other companies
  • Support business development efforts
  • Represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects
  • Brief customers regularly on technical concepts
  • Generate ideas for potential proposals and is responsible for sections of proposals
  • Establish relationships with current and potential customers

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

Required education: Bachelor Degree

Minimum Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline with 8+ year of experience
  • Master’s Degree and 6+ years of professional experience
  • Doctorate and 3+ years of professional experience
  • Contributes to/participates in professional societies (e.g.: ACM, IEEE, SIAM, etc…)

Required Skills:

Strong software development in experience in at least one of the following languages/technologies:

  • Windows API programming and Windows internals
  • Linux kernel programming
  • Reverse Engineering and IDA Pro
  • Device Driver Development
  • Assembly language programming
  • C/C++
  • Python
  • Java
  • .NET

Active TS clearance required. Must be eligible for TS/SCI. Preferred Skills and Education

Preferred Skills:

Capability in the following areas is desirable:

  • Mobile computing/Android development
  • Cyber security experience and interest
  • Strong writing skills
  • Vulnerability analysis, exploit development, and related disciplines
