Principal Process Sustainability Engineer-Dry Etch

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Process Sustainability Engineer for our Nashua NH location.

In this role, the candidate will sustain production processes and tools in the dry chemistry area of a III-V semiconductor wafer foundry. The Dry Chemistry area includes dry etch and PECVD nitride deposition processes. Candidate will be responsible for making continuous process improvements using DOE methodologies, implementation of SPC controls for yield improvement and to drive cycle time and cost reduction projects to completion. Candidate will be expected to lead area and help ensure smooth work flow through area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Qualifying new tools for production including documentation and training/certification of operators.
  • Work with advanced engineering group on new technology development.
  • Multi-tasking is expected in our fast-paced environment with delivery commitments to both internal and external customers.
  • A strong background in semiconductor process as related to III-V materials is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills required.
Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
  • Hands-on experience in III-V semiconductor process.
  • In-depth knowledge of dry etch and PECVD nitride deposition processes.
  • Knowledge of metrology equipment such as ellipsometers and profilometers.
  • Ability to multi-task, functioning both as individual contributor and as team leader.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform job functions in wafer foundry clean-room environment.
  • GaN MMIC fabrication experience.
  • MMIC fabrication experience.
Preferred Skills and Education
  • BS in semiconductor related fields and 8+ years of work experience; or
  • MS in semiconductor related fields and 6+ years of work experience
  • Experience with JMP software
  • Experience with PROMIS software
  • MMIC fabrication experience.
  • GaN MMIC fabrication experience.
