Principal FPGA Design Engineer

As a Senior FPGA Design Engineer at BAE Systems you will be challenged by complex problems which require creative solutions. You will drive the solutions through production, with the goal of creating a robust design with zero defects. You will be challenged to keep cost and schedule, while delivering a product that will save lives. Lofty goals to say the least. We currently have openings in algorithm development, control logic and design management. We are the industry leaders in what we do and need highly motivated, self governing individuals who want to make a difference.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- The ability to lead small groups in the design, debug and integration of highly complex FPGA designs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in design with VHD and Xilinx or Altera tools
- Experience with simulation methodologies
- Experience bringing an FPGA design through production
- Experience in Digital Signal processing
- Experience architecting multiple FPGA designs
- Control account management
- Project lead
- Perl, Python, Matlab, Synplify and Microsoft tools
