Principal Field Engineer

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Field Engineer at a designated Customer Facility in Florida supporting Paragon Program Risk Reduction and Testing.

The employee will provide comprehensive RF Electronic Warfare (EW) Field and Systems Engineering Sustainment at a designated Customer Facility in Florida supporting Paragon Program Risk Reduction and Testing. The employee will receive initial RFEW Systems, Lab Training and program required clearance requirements at the BAE Systems Facility in Nashua, New Hampshire prior to commencing the Florida field activities.

The RFEW Principal Field Engineer must possess comprehensive RFEW Integration Lab electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and fault isolation abilities and skills, analyze software, hardware, and system problems and provide problem resolution to include testing, and analyzing. Provide onsite technical services for the maintenance and test of software and associated hardware for all Program EW systems; perform engineering tasks associated with EW mission support requirements, functional analysis of EW system interface. C++ Software knowledge and applications required to debug and support systems integration. Knowledge and familiarity with CI-1, CI-2 or Firetip Derivative experience and Software/Hardware applications key to this field support and testing.

Successful candidate must be proficient using electronics laboratory Test Equipment (O'Scope, Analyzer, etc) associated with EW fault diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair. Must be able to read/understand wiring diagrams and schematics and have a strong administrative background. Work Expectations: Support Paragon integration when not at customer site; support risk reduction operation at customer site. Travel is required to support EW Lab Integration, Systems Test and Customer Requirements.

Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance (Current 5 Year Update) and be SAP Eligible.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

•RF EW system operation and integration
•Familiarity with Firetip or similiar technology based CI-1/CI-2 system is a big plus
•Ability to debug/isolate/understand hardware issues
•Ability to debug/isolate/understand Operational Flight Program (SW) issues
•Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance
(Current 5 Year Update) and be SAP Eligible
