Position, Navigation, and Timing Signal Processing Lead

BAE Systems Technology Solutions is looking for a Position, Navigation, and Timing Signal Processing expert who is interested and experienced in guiding a group of similar individuals to develop and execute strategic growth of our PNT portfolio. Specific focus areas include navigation warfare and active synchronization. The ideal candidate will either have a Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a proven record of business development, strategic planning, and personnel development.

A strong technical foundation in PNT (areas including but not limited to: distributed synchronization, geo-registering/geo-location, all-source PNT, etc.) is essential as this lead will be called upon to create signal processing solutions to the broad and complex research problems our customers face. This leadership will be through roles such as Principal Investigator, or Capture Team Lead on proposals and programs, as well as applying broad knowledge to provide guidance to team members on their technical contributions.

A key component of this role is building customer relationships and trust, so it will involve significant customer interaction. Strong presentation skills, and productive interpersonal communication capabilities are critical. This lead will be responsible for growing our contracted research and development footprint through new proposal leadership and follow-on/transition capture.

This position can be based out of our Merrimack, New Hampshire or Burlington, Massachusetts facilities, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the northeast. Experience in transition of technology from algorithm and prototype development to system design and development stages is of particular interest.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Required education: Master Degree with 10+ years experience or Ph.D. with 7+ years experience

Dissertation, thesis, or project work focused in position, navigation, and timing and/or navigation warfare.

Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Strength in geo-location, distributed synchronization, interference mitigation, anti-spoofing, or multi-domain navigation (i.e. land/sea/air).

Mastery of at least one mathematical model tool; such as Matlab, Python, etc.

Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary project team in research and development

Exceptional presentation and interpersonal communication skills are required (as demonstrated through customer presentations, publication/conference presentations, etc.)

Proven creation, pursuit, and capture of contracted research and development efforts is required.

Preferred Skills and Education A multi-disciplinary technical foundation that spans PNT, signal exploitation, prototype implementation, and system engineering is preferred.

Existing government security clearances are of particular value (up to and including TS/SCI).

5 or more years of leading the shaping, capture, and execution of PNT programs is highly preferred.
