Oracle Database Security Engineer

Job Description
BAE has been awarded a Defense Stockpile Management System, contract with our Federal Customer and we are seeking a Oracle Database Security Engineer. The Operations and Management (O&M) contract focuses on providing customer with support for Defense Stockpile Management System, Databases, and Application Management; IT Operations and Maintenance including system sustainment, modernizing its infrastructure, and controlling and managing the lifecycle of all changes with minimum disruption to end users.

Job Summary:
Incumbent will provide Database Administration directing and performing all activities related to maintaining environments including but not limited to:
-Evaluating effectiveness of database management technology and investigation system problems and inefficiencies
-Resolving questions concerning protocols and interfaces; resolves equipment and compatibility questions
-Developing system security Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) for database related issues; POAM's will include plan scope, background, organization, responsibilities, technical approach overview, top level schedule and cost estimate
-Distributing databases among system elements with limited replication across sites
-Designing for exchanging data between databases with consideration for any metadata considerations, as well as plans for supporting database replication
-Assisting/augmenting User Support as required
-Ensuring redundant switch-over/fail over capability exists and is operational when the primary database network connectivity or local power is unavailable
-Ensuring all system documentation is complete
*Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education
Demonstrated experience in Oracle Database Administration
Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certified Professional
