In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

BAE Systems' is looking for candidates to join our Optical Engineering team starting in Summer of 2019. Our mission is "We protect those who protect us", and as an Optical Engineering Intern, you will develop your engineering skills while helping us protect the brave men and women in our armed forces, intelligence communities and first responders.

This internship will be at BAE Systems in southern New Hampshire. The internship is a paid internship and has a work schedule that includes every other Friday off .

Some of the responsibilities of a Technical Intern III include:

• Support Senior Engineering personnel in the development, testing and selection of basic optical components utilizing fundamental optical engineering principles, theories and techniques

• Receive close direction and instruction from Senior Engineering Staff

• Participate in hands-on opportunities supporting the assembly, alignment and testing of design hardware

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Required Skills and Education

• Required education: High School/GED

• Currently Pursuing Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Optics Related Field

• GPA 3.0 (or more)

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience with basic optical component interferometry measurements and optical system alignment and measurements desired. Good oral and written communication skills.
