Operations Analyst - Electronic Warfare (EW)

BAE Systems is pushing the boundaries of Operational Analyses to develop next generation Radio Frequency (RF) Electronic Warfare (EW) systems for tomorrow’s advanced aircraft. Our analysts are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective EW systems that protect our Warfighters.

We have an opening for an analyst to collaborate with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, developing operational systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated environments. The analyst will perform operational analysis studies using a wide variety of existing and self-developed modeling & simulation tools.

  • Using, developing, and modifying tools to support:
  • - Data analysis of simulation or flight test results
  • - Requirements analysis
  • Evaluation of mission effectiveness
  • Execution of trade studies
  • Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) threat assessments
  • Development & delivery of presentations
  • Platform ConOps evaluation and development

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field

The candidate will have critical thinking skills that will be exercised across multiple levels of details. The candidate should enjoy problem solving and have the ability to produce concrete results despite significant ambiguities in the problem space.

Experience in EW Operational Analysis is not required, however, experience developing and using analysis tools using MATLAB, Python, VBA, C, or similar tools is required.

The candidate will have a desire to learn the following:

  • Utilizing M&S to develop EW operational requirements and assess mission effectiveness
  • Understanding RF EW systems
  • Understanding ground and airborne radar systems and Integrated Air Defenses (IADS)
  • The EW system development process
  • A strong interest in learning new skills and collaborating on new products

Preferred Skills and Education

Experience using tools such as Suppressor, JIMM, TMAP, ESAMS, EADSIM, or EWIR is a plus.
