Network Systems Analyst

The selected applicant will provide network and firewall liaison support for the Cyber Assurance & Verification Group. The candidate will analyze and understand existing and proposed network architectures of multiple interconnected systems as they pertain to the National Systems for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG). The applicant will work with various segment system administrators to coordinate and track new and existing network connections and be able to communicate any issues or changes to both Infrastructure Service Providers (ISP) and Application Service Providers (ASP). The applicant will be responsible for reviewing, editing, coordinating and submitting firewall change requests that support testing activities. Additionally, the candidate will document network communication failures and coordinate necessary resources to ensure prompt network restoral. The applicant must be familiar with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 policies. The candidate will interface with ASPs, ISPs, Factory Service Representatives and Program Offices on a daily basis and assist with any network related activities in support of the customer test organization. The applicant will be responsible for updating and maintaining the customer firewall change request database and tool. In addition to the duties identified above, the selected applicant will provide backup functionality to the Test Coordination Manager. The Test Coordination Manager is responsible for the general operations of the Test Control Center by ensuring that daily status is updated, request for services are fulfilled and Remedy incident tickets are properly assigned and coordinated. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Required education: High School/GED In-depth knowledge of networking ports, protocols and services. 5+ years of network architectureexperience with IC or DoD entities in a military or government environment Ability to identify technology gaps in current capabilities and processes, and provide executable recommendations Must have demonstrated qualifications to plan and lead tasks through completion Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving technical and non-technical issues Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work independently (self-managing) and within a team environment Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Office Suite including Visio Preferred Skills and Education
