BAE Systems is building a team of Network Engineers to provide requirement decomposition/definition and engineering expertise to assure program DOD requirements are developed and sustained responsible for design, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and all documentation required for the network supporting customer systems. Our team of engineers will be responsible for design, troubleshooting, government and vendor interface, installations, maintenance, conversion, cutovers and sustainment of Network/IT components. The team provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, and provides advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. These teams will creates, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures for the network architecture.
These teams of Network Engineers will also be responsible for the following duties:
•Maintain, support, and troubleshoot several classified and unclassified network efforts.
•Act as a consultant for systems problems and solutions.
•Ensures network standards are met.
•Participate as needed in all phases of research and design with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
•Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems.
•Ensure solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with program objectives.
•Define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with DOD customer specifications.
•Apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
•Work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment while assuring key milestone objectives are satisfied with a focus within cost budget constraints
•Be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude
•Able to handle multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity
•Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative; self-starter
•Other duties as assigned
Candidates filling these positions should have experience in one or more of the following Air Force Weapon Systems: Air Operations Center (AOC), Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Cyber Command and Control Mission System (C3MS), and Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence System (DODIIS).

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
•Bachelor's in computer science or related engineering disciplines and 8 years of network engineering experience (related DOD experience) including network design and configuration, expertise in a host of routers, switches, and firewall experience.
•Experience with Cisco IOS, including switching and routing
•Knowledge of complex configuration management techniques and requirements appropriate for managing base level network systems
•Knowledge of the network operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems
•DoD 8570 compliant with a minimum of CompTIA Security + certification
•Active TS clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
•Senior-level (hands-on) experience with a variety of platform technologies and solution architectures, as well as full lifecycle deployment models (requirements development through operations)
•Broad understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the networking field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
•Ability to break down technical concepts into business terms
•Expert knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design concepts
•Experience with Agile Development methodologies
•Cisco Certifications - Preferred: CCNA or CCNP
•SAFe Agilist certification
