Job Description
The Network Administrator I at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (FL) supporting the US Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate (SMC/ECL) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) contract is involved with installation, maintenance, advanced trouble shooting and administration of existing network systems. Trains end-users and responds to user inquires. Sets up network security standards. Participates in major network installations and upgrades. Trouble shoots complex network problems. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Presents recommendations on network interfaces and configurations.
Expertise designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, documentation for complex systems and operational support of these systems. Experience managing and tracking health and integrity of LSP communications & telemetry (C&T) networks, structured query language (SQL) server database technical configuration, database programming, backup, disaster recovery and security to prepare for launch operations, satellite and booster processing, and contingency/anomaly resolution.
Knowledge - Full knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance with the understanding of general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Impact - Accountable for completion of projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would require some expenditure of resources to rectify or will cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of additional resources.
Liaison - Contacts are primarily internal to company or customer work site. Some inter-organizational and outside customer contacts

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Education Level: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computers, Network Administration, Network Security or Relevant Certifications
Experience: Minimum: 5-years experience for Bachelors
Proposed: 7-years experience for Bachelors, 5-years experience for Masters
