Mid-level CI Support Specialist

BAE Systems is seeking motivated individuals who want the opportunity to support the War on Terror in Afghanistan.

Global Analysis and Operations currently has an opening for a Mid-level Counter Intelligence (CI) Support Specialist. The CI Support Specialist may function as a member of a CI Support Teams (CIST) or will provide direct support to members of a CIST, as appropriate.

The CI Support Specialist will provide routine and recurring support to CI activities from fixed and secure locations. CI Support Specialists conduct activities such as assisting specifically authorized government personnel in preparation before or report writing following debriefings, coordinating with installations, units and personnel for support to OPSEC/TARP awareness programs, CI security assessments, SAEDA awareness, screening of locally employed persons (LEP screening), initial handling of walk-in sources, CI support to Force Protection, intelligence report quality control, administrative and analytical support to Insider Threat/TARP investigations, CI operational activities, and may support other CI operations within to include Source Registration and De-confliction.

Additionally, the CI Support Specialist will interviews walk-in sources, conduct screenings, liaison with ISAF personnel, support security/OPSEC/force protection programs, conduct intelligence analysis of HUMINT Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) and Counterintelligence Intelligence (CI INTREPs) reports and Source Directed Requirements (SDRs), and simultaneously produce timely, useful and accurate written recommendations and assessments.

CI Support Specialists will provide examination support in conducting Preliminary Credibility Assessment Screening System (PCASS) examinations as required by ISAF/USFOR-A and consistent with applicable policy and SOPs.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Education – Government Cl credentialing course

Experience – Five years’ experience with former MOS 35 L , 35 1 L, 97B, 35E, 35M, 35 1 M/ L , 97E or civilian 1811/0132 badged and credentialed Cl Agent or DoD Joint Service or other Service equivalents such as 18F =SF INTEL NCO or 180A SF WO with ASOT-111 , USAF 7XOS1 -Special Investigator (SI) 0211 Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) Specialist

Clearance

Special skills or qualifications -

  • Knowledge of Army/Joint Cl procedures, doctrine, and practices Deployed experience
  • Experience in working with and through interpreters Experience with interview and solicitation techniques. Experience with Cl principles and methods
  • Experience in developing screening /interviewing/debriefing plans Briefing skills
  • Experience with the evaluation of information requiring further investigation
  • Experience supporting Cl operations or acting in the capacity of performing the mission of a Cl agent

Preferred Skills and Education · Education – Associates Degree

  • Knowledge of Dari or Pashto language and Afghan culture
