Job Summary: The provider (CNP or PAC) functions as a member of the occupational medical clinic under the direction of the medical director within the Occupational Medicine Department. The CNP/PAC will be instrumental in setting up the BAE clinic and ensuring the appropriate standards are met. The scope of Occupational Health Provider includes, but is not limited to, working with the site's Industrial Hygienist and overseeing the Occupational Surveillance Program, treatment and rehabilitation of work-related injuries, return-to-work programs, compliance with government and regulatory needs including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, DOD as well as implementation of onsite training and educational programs, among the many and varied other services offered for BAE Systems employees.

Clinical Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing all relevant OSHA-related and Department of Defense (DoD) compliance evaluations;
  • Performing baseline and annual medical surveillance evaluations for BAE employees.
  • Working with BAE Systems to evaluate BAE employees Return to Work (RTW) and/or Transitional Duty requirement
  • Assessing, diagnosing and treating work related injuries and illnesses.
  • Assisting with the workers compensation claims management process.
  • Provider will facilitate and collaborate with multiple disciplinary medical providers to assist employee's transition within and between healthcare settings, to include, but not limited to; orthopedic, surgical, pulmonary and other doctor referrals.
  • Ordering appropriate laboratory, imaging and other tests; as required.
  • Assist in managing the site's drug and alcohol testing process.
  • Order, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic tests such as complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (x-rays).
  • Refer patients for primary care conditions such as headaches, hypertension, urinary tract infections, upper respiratory infections, and dermatological conditions.
  • Reviewing medical records and preparing summary reports;
  • Case Management- Implementing the BAE comprehensive Medical Evaluation and Injury Care Case Management Standard.
  • Assist the Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) Department in evaluating OSHA recordability requirements and other relevant data.
  • Assist in implementing and furthering wellness programs for the company.
  • Adhering to healthcare policies and procedures based on appropriate guidelines that are specific to the on-site clinic to include, but not limited to: DOT, OSHA and DOD Medical Surveillance, Hearing conservation, and respiratory clearance.
  • Maintain the site' medical manual.
  • Ensuring adequate materials are available on-site in order to treat patients appropriately.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining records, log books, medication tracking sheets and operational logs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration schedule for all medical equipment.
