Mgr I- Eng Elec

The Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Hardware Engineering Department is seeking an Electrical Engineering Section Lead to supervise a team of 12 - 16 electrical engineers. Candidate must have a strong background in electrical engineering development and experience managing small teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervises employees performing professional technical duties involved with a complex or diversified phase of an engineering system, research study or experimental investigation.

  2. Supervises work effort characterized by development of some new concepts and methods, frequent utilization of adaptation of existing designs, methods and technology.

  3. Develops techniques, approaches and solutions, which may establish precedents

  4. Estimates manpower needs, schedules and allocates work to meet completion dates; identifies precedents to be followed and evaluates results obtained to ensure progress is maintained to achieve specified aims

  5. Maintains some liaison with supporting groups in the company and customer personnel to answer inquiries, exchange information and resolve technical difficulties associated with the project

  6. Reviews performance of subordinates and recommends personnel actions as needed

  7. Ensures project data is recorded and graphs, diagrams, charts and technical reports are prepared indicating technical accomplishments

  8. Maintains knowledge in area of specialization, keeps abreast of developments in the field

  9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
