The position is for Group Manager of the System Integration Agent Group in the STANDARD Missile Integration Program supporting PEO IWS 3.0 and PMS 326. The group performs various system integration activities in support of various missile system and weapon system upgrades under FMS cases for foreign navies.

Technical responsibilities of the Group include the following:

Perform engineering studies and analysis of SM-2 AAW Weapon Systems. Determine top-level requirements to establish system performance characteristics, system and subsystem functional allocations, interface requirements, design and structure for system integration, system safety engineering, analysis of alternatives and conceptual evaluations to ensure operational performance is compliant with system requirements.

Produce plans for the Navy customer to define how the overall scope of the integration effort is managed by the US Navy and other organizations working the project. This may include program management plans, master system integration test Plans, configuration management, safety and risk management plans.

Provide field engineering support to conduct testing of the SM-2 AAW System and its interfaces with other elements of the ship combat system and at land based facilities. This includes developing test plans and procedures for system integration (SIT) and system acceptance (SAT) testing. Conduct test procedures, manage test events and produce test reports for test events scheduled.

Develop and maintain interface specifications, the SM-2 AAW system requirements specification and the verification cross reference matrix (VCRM).

Review test procedures, observe test conduct, and review test reports for SMAP (STANDARD Missile Adjunct Processor) / WDS/ WCP Design Agent testing prior to system integration testing and maintain configuration management on integration issues during the development, integration and acceptance process. Host In-Process Team meetings for USN and other organizations supporting the project to monitor progress and surface/resolve project issues.

Assist the USN TDA in preparation and execution of SM-2 Live Firing Events for FMS navies.

Provide field engineering support for FMS FFG switchboard/ combat system modifications/upgrades under PMS 326 cognizance.

Support corporate quality management system (QMS) activities in adherence to the ISO 9001/2015 standard.

Management responsibilities include the following:

Provide technical leadership and guidance for engineering development activities within available contract resources provided by the Program Manager. Meet contract and program schedule requirements and perform within budgetary constraints.

Review and analyze contract requirements and SOW items to plan and establish schedules to perform the work. Assign appropriate resources from within the group to accomplish contractual objectives.

Support the Program Manager by complying with his technical direction.

Support the Program Manager in responding to RFP/ RFQs for new or follow-on business. Prepare budgets and staffing requirements for anticipated future business.

Conduct performance appraisals and reviews, provide feedback and assess progress, and resolve grievances and counsel employees when necessary.
