Mechanical Tech 1
Works from engineering design drawings, diagrams, schematics, verbal or written instructions to test and build mechanical and/or electro-mechanical units, systems and subsystems. Provides support to higher level technicians or supervisor. Receives detailed instructions and equipment requirements from supervisor. Performs a variety of non-standardized assignments of low to moderate complexity. Selects and adapts standard procedures or equipment. Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements and guidance from supervisor . Shows progression and ability to interpret and handle more complex assignments. Ability to work with management, peers, and customers.

Requires a High School diploma plus one (1) year formal study in Mechanical Engineering Technology or two (2) years of related experience. May also require specific certifications, i.e., solder.
