Mechanical Engineer II

BAE Systems Technology Solutions, Hardware Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer that aspires to specialize in Electro-Optics and RF Electronics Packaging. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience in the design of ruggedized tactical optical or electronics systems. Assigned duties will include design and development of specific packaging modules, mechanisms, components or subsystems to meet design requirements. The individual will grow into a multi discipline role capable of advancing packaging solutions from System on Chip prototypes through complete mature systems in support of BAE Systems advanced technology programs. A working knowledge of heat transfer/cooling design and analysis is desirable. This position will provide “hands-on” technical design leadership and support projects using ProEngineer (CREO) CAD Software for design, and Ansys Multi Physics analysis software for first order thru advanced non-linear analysis.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education None Preferred Skills and Education A working knowledge of heat transfer/cooling design and analysis. Expertise in electronic mechanical packaging solutions. Experience with ProEngineer (CREO) or equivalent CAD design. Experience with Ansys Multi- Physics analysis software of equivalent analysis tool.
