Mechanical Engineer

Entry level to 2 year experience for a Mechanical Engineer for the design and development of Military communication and sensing equipment. The candidate shall have an excellent understanding of thermal principles, strength of materials, materials selection and the ability to apply those principles to unique mechanical design challenges. Familiarity with the design and review process with demonstrated creativity, ability to create and read drawings, perform thermal and or structural analysis, use of industry simulation tools (ANSYS), perform solid modeling tasks with industry tools (PRO-E), support procurement, work hands-on with assembly personnel, test, debug, integrate and support of product qualification is a plus. Candidate should be able to perform well in a team environment and across technical functions. The candidate shall possess good written and verbal communication skills. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Familiarity with the design process and the ability to perform design tasks within a team oriented environment using solid modeling CAD tools. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment to achieve common goals. Preferred Skills and Education Masters degree and / or equivalent work experience a plus.
