The Electronic Combat Systems Sustainment Center is seeking a uniquely qualified and motivated individual to provide Process Engineering support to second shift operations in a growing, state of the art factory. This individual will have the unique opportunity to gain experience working with a variety of BAE product families while supporting multiple cells, operations and technologies. This position will start on first shift to train with peers before transitioning to primarily second shift coverage.
In this role, you will have significant responsibility as the primary support for our second shift Assembly, Test, and Rework Operators as our Factory ramps. Working with a variety of manufacturing technologies across multiple product lines, you will play a key role in real-time problem resolution to reduce defects and processing time as the factory implements new capability and increases rate on a variety of complex assemblies. As a core member of the ECS Sustainment Technical Operations Team, you will work closely with first shift Process, Product and Test Engineers in the group, as well as Factory leadership, Supply Chain and Operations Program Managers.
The ECS Sustainment Center supports our customers with cutting edge, timely and cost effective support in the repair, retrofit, upgrade, and new build of a variety of highly complex, state of the art modules and assemblies vital to mission success and safety of the warfighter.
Interested candidates should exhibit sound judgment, initiative and self-motivation. Solid communication, teamwork and integration skills will be required to work with peers, Factory and Program resources in Sustainment and across NH Factories. The ability to manage time effectively while dealing with a variety of issues in a dynamic environment will be key to the success of this individual.
Responsibilities include:
Provide real-time support to assemblers, inspectors and technicians
Actively contribute to key teams, projects and initiatives, including turnaround time and defect reduction
Disposition Non-conformances and perform work order alterations as needed to keep product moving in the factory
Identify appropriate containment actions and drive to root cause of defects to prevent reoccurrence
Create and/or revise manufacturing process instructions and procedures
Ensure clean hand-off of support and activities across shifts.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Previous experience directly supporting manual assembly of highly complex or precision product in a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
Demonstrate sound judgment and initiative - self-starter who can balance time between support duties and proactive project work
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Understanding of circuit card rework processes, complex electromechanical assembly, coatings, and adhesives.
Experience creating and updating manufacturing instructions
Understanding of quality requirements, experience dispositioning nonconforming material.
Demonstrated success resolving a wide variety of problems in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
