Maintenance Planner Specialist Principle

Approach all aspects of work being performed with safety as the highest priority.

Principal liaison between operations, maintenance and facilities engineering.

Initiate and enhance direct lines of communication with engineering, operations and maintenance.

Establish, maintain and continuously improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes. Streamline process by identifying value added tasks.

Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities and manpower requirements, including periodic site shutdowns.

Review all planned work requests for accuracy and clarity of scope and set proper priority.

Set realistic completion dates based on resources, parts availability, and windows of availability.

Forecast manpower availability and work load while identifying any deficiencies.

Facilitate small group discussions aimed at clarifying customer requirements and realistic expectations.

Produce a full scope work packet with sufficient planning detail to prevent work errors, including drawings and material list.

Identify and secure all parts and special tools required to complete work orders and any special kitting instructions.

Purchase parts and services required to perform task.by working closely with supervisors and maintenance personnel.

Perform root cause analysis on key machine failures along with appropriate personnel

Enhance maintenance documentation with goal of maximizing manpower efficiency and reducing downtime.

Maintain and improve maintenance database, CMMS, to provide valuable data and reports that continuously improves maintenance operations and performance.

Ensure performance indicators are captured and reported in a timely manner.

Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment history data base.

Apply good material management practices to ensure spare parts are identified and inventoried based on frequency of use and critical asset priorities.

Continually improving planning and scheduling of maintenance resources with goal of maximizing wrench-time.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

Ability to: Produce a full scope work packet with sufficient planning detail to prevent work errors, including drawings and material list.

Identify and secure all parts and special tools required to complete work order and any special kitting instructions.

Plan, schedule and forecast manpower.

Detail oriented, ability to read schematics and drawings.

Produce drawings from CAD.

Produce bill of materials for planned work.

Experience in skilled trades or manufacturing environment

Data base or CMMS experience.

Group facilitator willingness to be hands on and work closely with all maintenance personnel whether on floor, roof, or site grounds.

Associates Degree in Technical or Engineering field is preferred. Five years of maintenance experience in lieu of degree. Exposure to industrial manufacturing.
