Logistics Anst I - Technical Documentation

BAE Systems is seeking a Logistics Analyst 1 to join our Logistics team. This position will be located in Mt. Laurel NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together! The qualified candidate will become part of BAE Systems, working with a highly complex computer system critical to the defense of the United States. As part of our team the successful candidate will support the US Navy’s Aegis Combat System (ACS) research and development, shipboard ACS modernization efforts, new construction, and Fleet support efforts. Aegis is the Navy’s premiere computer suite in detection, managing, command & control, directing sensors and putting weapons on target.

Roles and Responsibilities

Support a team leader to meet tasking objectives. Review, evaluate & analyze Tech Manuals and Maintenance Work Packages for technical accuracy, readability, and compliance with the Navy Technical Manual Style Guide, and releasability compliance for foreign military sales. Provide Technical Documentation in-process and FMS releasability reviews and provide releasability recommendations to Customer. Evaluate FMS Case Releasability Guidelines for adequacy. Adjudicate comments and ensure corrections are incorporated into documents. Participate in Work Package test events as the Customer’s Logistics Representative

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Required education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Logistics/Business Administration discipline, or acceptable technical field with 0 years experience; Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of direct work experience; or High School/GED diploma with 6 years of experience. Experience in U.S. DoD and FMS technical documentation production, releasability, or quality assurance reviews. Experience may include Technical Documentation support in related fields such as commercial research and development efforts, or maritime industries. Proven ability to use Microsoft Office Word. Ability to obtain and maintain an Active or Interim Secret Clearance. Preferred Skills and Education Technical Writing or Engineering experience with the AEGIS Weapon System.
