Lead Systems Engineer

Job Description

T his position is for a Lead systems engineer for C4ISR. The work is run out of BAE Systems ISR Sensors product line. BAE Systems develops products that counter threats of modulated, encrypted, and multiplexed signals for a wide variety of platforms and mission profiles, providing the warfighter with advanced signals location and exploitation capabilities that meet current and future signal requirements. We are seeking a talented individual with strong understanding of detection, identification, and processing of complex communications signals.

Responsibilities include performing system engineering functions such as defining and developing system level requirements, defining operational systems concepts, originating design concepts, developing and analyzing algorithms, or performing systems level integration and tests. The candidate will be required to perform site operations, installations, and integration and validation support activities at customer locations. An individual at this level should have demonstrated leadership ability to lead small work groups or program team.

Successful candidate must possess strong organizational skills and strong signal and software troubleshooting, maintenance and fault isolation abilities. Candidates must be willing to work extended hours during mission critical time periods.

Position requires excellent oral and written communications skills; strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; and proficiency with various types of test equipment and software packages.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related scientific field
  • 12+ years related electronics experience
  • Must be capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Master Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering
  • Related experience with Digital Communications Signals, Detection, DF and Geo, computer networking, computer system architecture, Linux OS, and general electrical and software debugging (approaches and tools)
  • Security+ Accreditation
