Lead Software Engineer
The Lead Software Engineer for the will have primaryresponsibility for Application Virtualization and oversight of all softwaredevelopment efforts on the program, including SharePoint, ABAC, and othercustom software to be developed through the program lifecycle. This individualis responsible for managing staff day-to-day, will be an active performer, andmay have delegated Cost Account Management authority.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience
Lead the application virtualization “factory” within the project, for core applications and apps brought in by transitioning agencies. Responsible for running the SAFe Agile process, managing the end-to-end process, and ensuring efforts are scheduled, coordinated, tested, and released on time. Use modern software tools including Microsoft’s App-V, Citrix’s XenDesktop and XenApp, and other technologies to deliver virtualized applications smoothly.
Provide oversight and supervision of other software development, integration, and customization efforts on the project, including custom SharePoint development and integration, ABAC integration, and custom development efforts required by transitioning organizations. Develop schedules and work with project leadership for staffing and planning. Required Skills and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
7+ years’ experience, including leadership roles
Experience leading architecture of
application integration, migration, and sustainment solutions involving
understanding of software support, maintenance, and sustainment
Experience with multiple software development and virtualization tools and
technologies, including App-V and XenApp/XenDesktop
Preferred Skills and Education
Master’s Degree (Preferred in
10+ years’ experience
Certifications – ITIL Certification, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
certifications, DoD 8570.1 certification (e.g. Security+)
