At our Greenlawn NY facility we design, develop and produce Identification (IFF), Mission Computer, and EO/IR equipment for the US Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Army and also for worldwide customers. The selected candidate will lead a team of Hardware Engineers to develop state of the art products for our military customers. These products encompass a wide range of technologies including digital, RF and analog circuits, mechanical chassis and packaging, and FPGA/firmware development. The duties assigned to this lead engineering position will include the following: Leading a technical team to design complex technical solutions, development and tracking of hardware plans, schedules, staffing, mentoring junior engineering talent, Cost Account Management, and driving tasks to closure through effective leadership of a team of Hardware Engineers and support disciplines. This lead engineer, will acquire product knowledge, use and advance their technical skills while performing their assigned responsibilities.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Solid electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledgeable of VHDL language and coding
  • Experience with FPGA's and microprocessors
  • Familiar with electrical engineering design, schematic capture and analysis tools
  • Experience with a laboratory environment and the ability to use test equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineering talent
  • Cost Account Management experience (preferred)
  • Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Cost Account Management experience
