Junior Software Engineer
This is a junior level position for talented software engineers who are looking for a company who fosters a work environment in which technical excellence is highly valued. You will apply your skills to develop high-quality real-time embedded software for either new or fielded platforms. As part of our standard rotation program you will get a breadth of experience and increase your skill sets. You can expect to rotate to a new program, site, or business area or program phase on an approximately annual basis for the first few years of your career at BAE Systems.
You will be exposed to the full software life-cycle from requirements development through integration and testing.
Duties include analyzing, design, coding and code modification of complex Infrared aircraft protection software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems. You will perform real-time, embedded software development utilizing sound Object Oriented principles, conforming to existing code development strategies and processes. You will utilize a Windows PC and Linux/Unix based software development environment.
Local candidates preferred. No relocation is available for this position. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education · Bachelor’s degree in CS (Computer Science), CE (Computer Engineering), ECS (Electrical and Computer Science), or other Scientific degree with suitable software engineering content, with 2+ years of professional experience or Master’s degree in same with 0 to 3 years.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and have an interim secret clearance before beginning employment.
- Proficient in C, C++ or Ada
- Experienced in Real-time embedded development
