IT Sys Sec Eng Prin

This position is located on Naval Station Norfolk.

The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. Oversee HBSS system architecture design and system integration

  2. Configure and Maintain the HBSS infrastructure

  3. Configure and push all policies to secure CNIC enclaves

  4. Work with HBSS analyst(s) to tune all policies to ensure that alerts/events reported are legitimate

  5. Create and implement host firewall policy; virus scan on-access and on-demand exclusions based on application vendor and CNIC program requirements; HIPS application white-listing exclusion per applicable C&A documents

  6. Properly integrate into CNIC program change management processes to ensure completion of policy additions/modifications

  7. Validate and maintain compliance with DoD requirements to include, but not be limited to, HBSS STIGs, CTOs and OPORDs

  8. Implement and maintain full rogue system detection on all subnets

  9. Maintain agent communication and remediate issues when necessary

  10. Support CNIC programs with any ePO data roll-up tasks, including, but not be limited to,

the master ePO to CNDSP rollup

  1. Proactively assess HBSS system performance, choke point, continuity of operations and failover, and operational limitations per approved changes

  2. Provide technical support to integrate HBSS with other C 2 SOC cybersecurity tools and external DoD and DON cybersecurity scoring and reporting systems

  3. Analyze HBSS anomalies, prepare workaround if applicable, and resolve related issues

  4. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support on HBSS system and components

  5. Manage and test new HBSS baseline releases and plan for, coordinate and lead HBSS system migration and upgrade efforts as directed by USCYBERCOM

  6. Provide technical support for building, configuring, deploying and integrating C 2 SOC agent servers, with special focus on HBSS functions and components

  7. Provide technical support to cybersecurity incident response

  8. Participate in technical architectural review meetings as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, as required.

This position is located in Norfolk, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Norfolk or surrounding areas.
