IT Security Spec II

BAE Systems seeks a IT Security Specialist to assist with Information Assurance and system configuration management support .

There is no relocation assistance available. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must relocate at his/her own

Responsibilities include:

Perform day-to-day system administration duties, Cyber Security duties and assist with long-term operational planning for a multi- server system. Investigate and troubleshoot server system issues in additional to regular hardware and software maintenance for all environments in the client’s network; and identify areas for improvement through automation and process innovations. Responsibilities will include applying patches, configuring, remediating, documenting, and maintaining servers for production, lab and remote locations.

Security Test Results Processing:

Assess the cybersecurity posture of systems, including standalone test sets and larger systems. Implement, monitor, and enforces DoD information system IA policies and procedures as defined by DIACAP security and accreditation policies. Receive multiple files that contain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) test results, in the form of STIG Checklist files and reports from the DoD approved ACAS Vulnerability Scanning tool, and consolidate the results into a single MS Excel file in a pre-defined format (Risk Assessment Report) file. Implement STIG and SRG quarterly or as required. Perform weekly Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)/Nessus security scans, prioritize and address security vulnerabilities. Update Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) for reporting to the Information Assurance Officer. Implement all Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA), Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletin (IAVB), and Technical Advisory (TA) in the context of a US Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM). Responsibilities will include applying patches, configuring, remediating, documenting, and maintaining servers for production, lab and remote locations. Because such testing will require the use of privileged accounts, the individual must have an active/final DoD security clearance , be a member of the Cybersecurity workforce, and complete a privileged user agreement.

eMASS Accreditation Package:

Assist with accreditation documents, and perform entry of test results and Plan of Action and Milestones entries in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), a web based application hosted by DISA. The selected individual will need to already have or obtain an eMASS account, which requires the individual to be a member of the Cybersecurity workforce, and complete the basic online eMASS training course.

The selected individual must be a motivated team player with excellent written and oral communication skills. All candidates should have a proven track record of being able to plan, prioritize, and deliver assigned projects on time.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Candidates must ensure that resume addresses all stated requirements of the posted requisition. Only resumes that

Education and minimum years of related work experience required: HS Diploma/GED and at least 8 years of related work experience, Associate’s Degree and at least 4 years of related work experience or Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of related work experience

Security clearance requirement: Must have active and final DoD security clearance, with current SSBI

Must have the following skills/certifications:

Current CompTIA Security+(CE) certification

Knowledge and experience with one credentialed Microsoft Operating System preferably Windows Server 2008

Proficient with MS Office Suite

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Education Highly desired skills/experience:

Familiarity with DISA STIG Viewer, DISA STIGS, DoD 8500.2 IA Controls, and the eMASS system

Current IAT level II Cyber Security Workforce certifications and training recognized by the Department of Defense, to include one Credentialed Operating System Training Course, 70-640 Windows Server 8; Windows 7 Certification; 70-680 Windows 7, Configuring or 70-685 Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician

Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree.

Experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS)

Experience with Windows 2007, 2008 Server and/or Cisco Switches

Experience with Apache and/or Microsoft Information Services (IIS)

Experience with VMware vCenter Protect or equivalent patch management application

Experience and/or familiarity with VMware hosts and Virtual Servers

Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)

Experience with Oracle Database 11

Experience with Cisco switches

Experience with Active Directory
