IT Project Coordinator

Job Description

Serves as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same common/standard/migration system) and shall assist the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the task order-level Task Managers (TM), Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and insuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. Performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems, including the development of conceptual systems requirements; systems integration requirements; systems phasing plan; business application consultation; problem tracking/management; and preparation and delivery of presentations.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

3+ Years of Experience in:
Defining and clarifying project scope and setting project direction
Developing the project plan, schedule, policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives
Determining the organizational structure of the project team
Identifying support to be provided by external teams
Coordinating IT Project activities across different organizational functions
Defining project baselines, tracking progress and reporting progress
Multi-Disciplinary Team Leadership
Must have ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with management and peers.

Excellent customer interface, coordination, and organizational skills.
Utilize interpersonal skills for dealing with multiple contractor and government organizations.

Preferred Skills and Education

PMI Certification, particularly a PMP certification, is desired.
