Enforcement Support Senior-level Analyst must have specific relevant education and experience in Sanctions Enforcement. Individual must be able to perform the job duties specified in the task order with only limited direction or guidance from more senior team members or Treasury personnel.
Enforcement Support involves the research, analysis, and documentation of possible violations of U.S. economic and trade sanctions programs administered by OFAC. Research often involves national or international commercial trade or banking operations. Support may include, but is not limited to:
1) Review and analyze information:
a. Draft administrative subpoenas for review and approval by Treasury officials;
b. Assist with research about targets and industries;
c. Review and analyze relevant documents, including complex financial and transactional business records.
2) Make oral and written recommendations with respect to the proper disposition of cases:
a. Draft analysis and recommendation memoranda that evaluates recommended enforcement responses;
b. Draft case summaries and other documents.
3) Coordinate with other offices, government agencies and divisions within OFAC, including Licensing, Compliance, Global Targeting, and Policy, to ensure that related matters are handled in a coordinated and holistic manner:
a. Coordinate activities with other government agencies that have shared interests;
b. Provide technical assistance, regulatory expertise, judicial proceeding insight, and operational recommendations to partner government agencies and U.S. Attorneys' Offices in analyzing, preparing or pursuing cases that involve potential violations of OFAC Sanctions and Regulations.
c. Search records to find information relevant to requests from OFAC's FOIA Office supporting their response to FOIA requests seeking enforcement-related information;
d. Prepare legally supportable, comprehensive reports to support criminal law enforcement agencies, in the preparation of OFAC Sanctions Violation related cases for trial.
