Integrated Combat System Engineer

The selected candidate will perform life cycle systems engineering for carrier and large deck amphib Integrated Combat Systems (ICS). Perform system engineering tasks associated with acquisition, pre-planned product improvement, engineering change, and testing and system integration of ICS elements into ships. Conduct performance and technical risk assessments and trade-off analysis of pre-planned production improvement and integration decisions for those ship classes.

Provide systems engineering support for the Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) systems engineering for new construction ships, modernization and in-service baselines. Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) and working groups to ensure command and control interoperability among all CS elements in surface ships, strike groups and joint, allied and coalition units. Provide systems engineering technical program management support to ensure integration of C4I systems with baseline development including functional requirements definition, computer program upgrades, integration, test, and evaluation of new computer programs. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience (six additional years of experience in lieu of a degree)

At least 3 years of experience in Naval ship combat system engineering through all phases of the acquisition life cycle

Experience in one or more of the following: Combat Management Systems, Command and Control, Advanced Capability Builds, Sensors, C4I, or Interoperability Systems Engineering Preferred Skills and Education Experience in Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) engineering and integration

Experience and knowledge of IPT operations
