Information Management Systems Analyst

Job Description
The successful candidate will serve as the Electronic Systems Information Management focal point for IT infrastructure support for the Electronic Systems Sector. The Systems Analyst will coordinate with the central IT provider on the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Electronic Systems unclassified network (LAN and WAN), servers (UNIX and Wintel), storage, voice and video systems, etc. In this role, the Systems Analyst will help plan the timing of efforts, submit budget requests, coordinate Request for Capital approvals, draft and submit Demand Management System requests to the central IT provider, and monitor project progress by reviewing weekly and monthly reporting from the central IT provider.

The Systems Analyst will also serve is the Information Management Business Partner for the Electronic Systems Human Resources, Communications, and Strategy & Planning functions. In this role, the Systems Analyst will work with the customer on their business IT needs; assess business impact; capture, analyze and document IT requirements; interface with the central IT provider on the delivery of these solution to meet these requirements; and communicate the progress of the solution implementation with the customer.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Ability to understand and document complex technical topics
  • Background in IT service support
  • Familiarity with various networking topologies
    Self-directed, detail oriented, organized, multi tasker - ability to keep track of a myriad of moving parts.
    Strong soft communication skills
