Information Assurance Network Engineer
The selected candidate will define and implement network infrastructures that provide access to multiple levels of classification, provide access to networked distributive and collaborative tools, and distribute raw data as required from a centrally managed network infrastructure service and resources to multiple security enclaves. Provide services related to Computer Network Defense (CND). Provide recommendations for secure interfaces between networks of different classification, and implementation of DITSCAP or DIACAP requirements, as appropriate. Support Group 4 in the determination of data center locations, in the development of network backbone architectures, and in the development of the ships’ network architecture.
Provide recommendations for the continued development, growth, and use of the technology, systems, tools, standards, policy, procedures and products for IA and Cyber Security. Support engineering events and certification related functions required by PEO IWS 10. Develop and recommend requirements and frameworks for IA Readiness including IA dissemination, training, awareness and Fleet support through computer network vulnerability assists. Provide recommendations, approaches, and technical assessments of Cross Domain Solutions (XDS) capabilities to provide a reconfigurable, enabling architecture that supports data transfer services at multiple security levels. Integrate network security, key management, secure voice, and other architectures into an overarching IA architecture. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in Naval ship combat system engineering through all phases of the acquisition life cycle (five additional years of experience may substituted for the degree) Required Skills and Education Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in Naval ship combat system engineering through all phases of the acquisition life cycle (five additional years of experience may substituted for the degree)
Experience in one or more of the following: network architecture, multi-level security, information assurance/cybersecurity, certification and accreditation
IAM Level 2 Certification Preferred Skills and Education Experience in Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) engineering and integration
Experience and knowledge of Integrated Product Team (IPT) operations
Experience and knowledge of carrier and large deck amphib warfare/combat systems
