BAE Systems is looking for an Industrial Engineer II to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment at their Nashua, New Hampshire facility. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and being able to adapt to a rapidly changing production environment brings with it an exciting opportunity to influence the successful execution of production goals and achieving operational excellence. In this role, the industrial engineer will be responsible for manufacturing planning and integration of varied production operations, including assembly and testing processes in order to achieve operational excellence and to drive efficiencies. This individual will identify and streamline all aspects of manufacturing operations using classical Industrial Engineering and Lean methods, perform capacity modeling, simulation and analysis to develop recommendations for manufacturing and test operations, create manufacturing floor layouts, implement continuous improvements, coordinate PPV/FAI activities, and lead six sigma green belt projects.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

Required Skills and Education

•Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
•Experience in performing capacity simulations to identify constraints in manufacturing operations, including assembly and test.
•Shop layout experience with a demonstrated understanding of material presentation & flow.
•A fundamental understanding of facility constraints such as space, machine capacity, materials movement, and utilities.
•Proficient in performing manufacturing & testing capacity analysis.
•Experience in coordination of cross-functional team based activities, monitoring and reporting out on progress.
•Solid working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) & AutoCAD (or similar design software).
•Solid skills in problem solving, and statistics. Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.
•Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment. Strong team player and willing to work collaboratively across the organization. Sound interpersonal skills to successfully interface with company personnel at all levels, customers and suppliers.
•Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekend as required to meet business objectives.

Preferred Skills and Education
•Strong experience using simulation software to perform manufacturing & testing capacity analysis.
•Green Belt and Lean manufacturing training, and demonstrated ability to apply these principles.
•Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with automated and mechanical assembly operations as well as product testing.
•Experience working within a DoD environment is beneficial.
