ICBM Intern / Co-Op - Computer Science / IT / Cybersecurity (Spring or Summer 2020)

Job Description

BAE Systems Intelligence and Security (I&S) sector supports critical national security missions that protect our nation and those who serve. I&S is seeking Software, IT, and Cybersecurity Interns to help shape the future of defense by working in our Air Force Solutions division to support current and future Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) systems.

Engineering Interns are placed across a variety of functions based on their background and interests including:

  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Information Technology / Cybersecurity

In addition to on-the-job training, we offer:

Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage, working full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week) through the run of the program (3-4 months). We also have CO-OP positions available (apply through this requisition). These are generally part-time, but longer term while the student is in school.

Opportunity for Future Employment: Many of our I&S interns return as interns and/or are hired on full-time after completing their degree.

Challenging & Meaningful Work: Your internship will be challenging and impactful with on-the-job training and the opportunity to complete a project.

Networking and Development Opportunities: You will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships as you participate in workshops, mentor programs, presentations with senior leaders, community involvement, tours of our exciting products, and other networking and development events.

This posting represents multiple internship and Co-op opportunities, in all facets of the current and future ICBM systems at or near Hill Air Force Base, UT.

Typical Education & Experience

Required Skills and Education
  • You must be enrolled as a computer science, computer engineer, software, cybersecurity, or information technology major in a Bachelor's Degree program or above at an accredited university for at least one semester following the internship program or be graduating for the co-op program.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • You must be at least entering your Junior year or higher
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Pursuing relevant degree
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant field of specialization
