Human Resources Leadership Development Program
The Human Resource Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) is a three year program designed to develop high potential, entry-level employees for future leadership positions within the Human Resources function at BAE Systems. The intent of the program is to provide a challenging and diverse set of experiences through multiple rotational assignments in Human Resources, as well as technical and leadership training programs, advanced education and leadership opportunities.
HRLDP Job Rotation Responsibilities : Program members participate in a series of professional rotations lasting nominally 6-12 months in length. Rotations will be across different programs, business areas and functional and technical disciplines within the Human Resources function of the company.
HRLDP Education and Development Responsibilities : Program members will take part in in-house and external development curriculum throughout the program in addition to attending an annual Leadership Development Conference. HRLDPs are required to pursue a company sponsored graduate degree in either a HR or business related field.
Rotations may be at any BAE Systems site within the United States. Each rotation provides an opportunity to learn the HR function and to develop an understanding of the business environment. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business, Psychology, Sociology or related fields.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 0 – 2 years of HR experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Customer Service Orientation
HR coursework or experience.
Multiple relocations – Able to rotate to various geographic locations for at least (3) years.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or have work authorization.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Required Skills and Education Ability to complete the Masters Degree requirement (if you already have a Master’s then you will not be required to complete another one).
Effective communications skills both written and verbal.
Ability to evaluate and gather data in order to make recommendations to both managers and employees.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Interpretation of complex policies and procedures in order to act as a coach and trusted HR advisor.
Capable of working independently, at times, with limited supervision.
Skillful in building effective and trusting relationships.
Effectively learn and adapt to change quickly.
Ability to travel between facilities and to alternate work sites.
Able and willing to relocate both nationally and internationally.
Exhibit effective time management and ability to balance a demanding workload
Preferred Skills and Education GPA of 3.0 or higher.
HR internship or co-op experience.
