Hardware Engineering Lead

Job Description

Seeking an energetic and closure driven individual to lead a team of Hardware Engineers to develop state of the art defense electronics for our military customers. Products encompass a wide range of technologies including digital electronics, RF and analog circuits, mechanical chassis and packaging, and FPGA/firmware development. Technical strength and practical design experience in at least one of these areas is preferred. Efforts will include the development and tracking of hardware plans, schedules, staffing, and driving tasks to closure through effective leadership of a team of Hardware Engineers and support disciplines. Opportunities exist across each of the development phases including planning and requirements development, preliminary and detail design, prototype hardware build and test, system integration and test, and low to full rate production.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Must have a BSEE or MSEE with at least 10 years of experience. Must be able to effectively engage and inspire a team of 10 to 20 engineers to develop complex electronic and mechanical defense products. Must be a able to communicate well and effectively collaborate with other Engineering disciplines, Operations, Procurement, and Program Management. Must have had prior design and/or manufacturing/test experience in some phases of development.
