1. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
The Radar Maintenance Technician willmaintain, repair, calibrate and operate all mission radar equipment. Analyzesystems fault data and provide recommendations to resolve radar systemdegradation and failures. Assure all configuration control procedures arefollowed and report status of any equipment changes, modifications, oranomalies immediately to the Consolidated Maintenance and Operations Center(CMOC). Support space surveillance operations and testing. Operates CMOCfacilities and immediately responds to all reporting requirements. Other dutiesand responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contractperformance.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
A. Perform computer operations, and use approvedprocedures for all phases of repair, inspection, alignment, and calibration ofdigital and analog equipment to achieve radar maximum operating efficiency.
B. Monitor radar Operations and Assessment (OA)tests, interpret faults and reconfigure equipment. Maintain accurate records,logs, files, prepare reports and supply documentation.
C. Must be familiar with the use and care of allTest Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) required to maintain a PhasedArray Radar System.
D. Report system anomalies immediately; effectrestorable actions and report equipment status.
E. Analyze radar systems data, meet all MissileWarning Operations Center (MWOC) requirements, and respond to all sitereporting requirements.
F. Provide relief for the ConsolidatedMaintenance Operations Center (CMOC).
G. Immediately inform the CMOC of any failures,degradations, or system status change.
H. Complete recall actions forCommunications-Electronics equipment, as directed, and obtain approval for anyequipment removal.
I. Follow and support all Safety and Securityregulations and policies.
J. Perform additional duties as assigned.
